Colorado native, Chris Richards, has been writing as long as she can remember and is eagerly waiting publication of her first novel, tentatively titled Shattered Trust.
As the Lifestyle Editor for the Sterling Journal Advocate newspaper, she was responsible for writing and editing stories, taking and developing pictures, and layout of daily special sections. Less formal, but just as important, her writing activities have included newsletters for churches, swim teams, gymnastic teams, marching bands and women’s groups. During more than thirty years teaching Christian education for all ages, she revised or wrote lessons to meet the specific needs of her students. As a 4-H leader, she wrote needlework manuals used throughout Colorado.
Chris is currently combining her loves of writing and of teaching to encourage young people to write. Passing the Quill guides aspiring authors as they commit thoughts to paper for themselves, their families, their friends, and the public. She is an active member of Words for the Journey Christian Writers Guild, American Christian Fiction Writers, the Christian Writers Guild and Toastmasters International. Chris and her husband of forty years, Roy, live in Castle Rock, CO and enjoy spending time with their family, including three grandsons and one granddaughter.
